The BNP Paribas Masters is an ATP Masters 1000 and Sony Ericsson WTA Premier tour event. It is the 5th largest tennis tournament in terms of attendance just after the four Grand Slam tournaments.
< In 2010 Croatian Ivan Ljubicic completed his giant-slaying run at the BNP Paribas Open, defeating World No. 8 Andy Roddick 7-6(3), 7-6(5) on Sunday to capture his first ATP World Tour Masters 1000 title. On the Ladies side, Serbian Jelena Jankovic clinched her 12th career title Sunday afternoon with a decisive 6-2, 6-4 victory over No. 2 seed Caroline Wozniacki on Denmark.
